Questions students ask
Which exam boards does A Level Physics cover?
AQA, OCR A. Choose your board when you open the app; the topic practice and mock tests follow it. You can change board in Settings.
Does it work for AS as well as the full A level?
Choose AS or A Level in the app. The course filter follows your selected board: content that is AS for AQA can be A Level only for OCR A, and vice versa. Formula labels follow your board's data booklet, and the AS booklet can print less, so a few cards say "Learn this" only when you choose AS.
What can I do for free?
The free tier opens the first available subtopic of each topic and the first reference-card category; the same 866 free questions are on this website. A subscription or a one-off lifetime purchase unlocks all topics: 3,800+ questions and 246 reference cards.
Does it cover the AQA Paper 3 options?
Yes. All five AQA options are included: Astrophysics, Medical physics, Engineering physics, Turning points in physics and Electronics. Pick your option in Settings and the app hides the ones you are not taking. OCR A students get the astrophysics and medical imaging content from their own specification.
How are required practicals covered?
Practical skills has its own area, with AS and A level required practicals and questions on planning, measurement, uncertainty and graphs. Use it alongside supervised practical work at school or college; the multiple-choice questions do not mark extended answers.
Is it on Android?
Yes. A Level Physics Revision is on Google Play as well as the App Store, with the same questions, notes, formula cards and mock exams.
Does it say which facts and formulae I need to learn?
The 246 reference cards carry board-specific labels: "In your booklet" when the core information is printed in your exam data or formula booklet, and "Learn this" otherwise.
