Privacy policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
This website (alevelapps.co.uk) is operated by Webrich Software, publisher of the A Level Apps revision apps. This policy covers the website. Each app's own data practices are set out in the privacy section of its App Store and Google Play listing.
What we collect and why
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It records pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, how you arrived, and events such as starting or finishing a practice quiz and tapping an app store badge. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) to recognise a returning browser. Google processes this data under its own terms; IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which measure page views and page-load performance without cookies.
These analytics tools load on every visit. You can block them with your browser's privacy settings or an extension, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. The site works fully with them blocked.
Contact form
When you send the contact form, your name, email address and message are delivered to us by Web3Forms. We use them only to reply and to fix whatever you report, and delete them once they are no longer needed for that.
Emailed quiz results
If you choose to email yourself your practice-quiz results, your email address and your answers are sent to our support service, which sends you that one email. The service stores the address with the results it sent; we do not add it to a marketing list or share it. Ask us via the contact form to delete it.
Stored in your browser
The site remembers the exam board you pick on topic and formula pages (in localStorage), and, if you arrive from an advert, the advert's campaign tags for the rest of your visit (in sessionStorage) so an app download can be attributed to it. Neither leaves your device except as part of a store link you choose to follow.
Links to other services
- App Store and Google Play. Store badges link to Apple and Google, whose privacy policies apply once you are there. Links carry a campaign tag saying which page you came from — not who you are.
- Amazon. Our recommended books and tools pages contain Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases; Amazon may set cookies when you follow one.
- Google Fonts. Text fonts load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address to deliver them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us via the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
The site is for A Level students, who are usually 16 to 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page if what we collect changes, and change the date at the top.
